AIADMK manifesto 2011 offers free rice, laptops, gold and appliances


The Assembly Polls are fast approaching and the parties in the war are not leaving a single stone unturned to attract all the votes in their bags. Distribution of free food and appliances has become common.
The AIADMK has taken the tradition a step further and has announced that all the ration card holder in the state of Tamil Nadu inIndia will get 20 kgs of free rice, free fans, mixers, grinders, laptops for students from class 11 and mineral water for the people, who fall under the category of Below Poverty Line (BPL).
Moreover, the AIADMKchief Jayalalitha has also found a way to attract the women voters by offering four grams of gold for the poor, free of cost. Cable connections will also be distributed at nominal rates for the poor.
Jayalalitha started distributing the freebies after she filed her nomination from the temple town of Srirangam in the state of Tamil Nadu. To top it all the AIADMK has also promised that if the party came in power, free bus passes will be provided to citizens over the age of 58, including a restructured health insurancescheme for all.
Special welfare schemes are also planned for the Sri Lankan Tamil refugees who are currently spread across the state
