Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Saturday requested her Andhra Pradesh counterpart, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to immediately release water from the Kandaleru reservoir, so as to realise at least 1,000 cusecs at the Tamil Nadu border.This is to meet the drinking water requirements of Chennai up to October this year.
